Certification Process

Here is an outline of the steps involved in the certification process:

  • Request Form Submission
    • Download and fill in the request form from the AIOTA website.
    • Provide details of the furniture products, model numbers, ranges, etc.
  • Registration & Inspection Fee
    • A one‐time registration / membership registration fee is required.
    • The applicant pays inspection & certification fees (amount communicated by AIOTA) once products are confirmed ready for inspection.
  • Inspection by AIOTA Committee
    • AIOTA assigns an Inspection & Certification Committee.
    • Representatives inspect product samples for ergonomic performance, safety, and comfort. Modifications may be required if necessary.
  • Certification Issuance
    • If the product range meets the inspection criteria, AIOTA issues an Ergonomic Design and Performance Certificate.
    • The certificate is valid for one year. Renewal (after compliance confirmations) is required.
